In the original website, I created a design that's virtually similar as this one,
but I was not too happy with the end result; so I re-did it, this time under my
"Project Chihuahua" armory.

Overview:
The namesake of Clan Wolf-in-Exile's "Project Chihuahua" rebuilding plan, the
35-ton Omnimech known as the Chihuahua made its debut in 3063, and was meant to
be the primary light Omnimech for the exiled Warden faction. The fourth out of
five designs under the plan, the Chihuahua was based heavily off the 30-ton
Arctic Cheetah 'mechs that were salvaged during Operation Bulldog, ensuring
that the 35-ton 'mech has some proven pedigree to compare to. Like the Arctic
Cheetah, the Chihuahua is fast, mobile, and capable of running circles around
any opponent while still inflicting appreciable damage, albeit with a more
canid cosmetic look.
Capabilities:
Just like the Arctic Cheetah, the 35-ton Chihuahua utilizes all weight-saving
materials available, starting with an Endo-Steel skeleton as the Omnimech's
foundation, while five and a half tons of Ferro-Fibrous armor gives the
Chihuahua a respectable degree of protection. A Light Force 280 XL Fusion
Engine, the same engine used on the Arctic Wolf and the Warhound, not only
helps further save weight, but gives the Chihuahua a top speed of 129 km/h,
while accomodating 10 double heat sinks. Mobility is further enhanced with
seven fixed jump jets, with one per leg, two per side torso, and one on the
center torso. Overall, this leaves the Omnimech with 10 tons of space for
modular equipment.
The Primary Configuration pays homage to the Pack Hunter, by having a
right-shoulder mounted ER PPC as its primary long-range weapon. This is backed
up by an ER Medium Laser on each arm for close-combat situations, while a Micro
Pulse Laser on the head is meant to deal with soft targets. An additional
double heat sink helps deal with the waste heat, while a Light Active Probe
helps protect against ambushes.
A flanker by design, Configuration A has a pair of SRM-4 launchers on each arm,
backed up by an ER Medium Laser on each side torso. An ECM Suite helps the
Chihuahua sneak into its target, while a TAG allows the 'mech to spot for
friendly artillery and missiles.
Configuration B excels in sniping and long-range harassment, as its weapons
consists of an ER Large Laser on each side torso. Two more double heat sinks
were added to help deal with the high waste heat produced by the laser weapons.
Configuration C is meant for pest control (i.e. infantry, battle armor,
vehicles), with each arm sporting a trio of machine guns and a Micro Pulse
Laser on each arm, backed up by another Micro Pulse Laser on the center torso,
and a Medium Pulse Laser on each side torso. This configuration also sports an
Active Probe, allowing the 'mech to find hidden enemies.
Inspired by the Hellion Prime, Configuration D features a set of weapons that
would allow the Chihuahua to engage at any range. A trio of LRM-5 launchers
are the main long-range weapons, backed up by three ER Medium Lasers for
mid-range combat, and an SRM-4 launcher for close-range combat.
Configuration E is meant as a testbed for the Heavy Laser technology, as the
weapons include a Heavy Large Laser on the right arm, and a Heavy Medium Laser
on each side torso. A Targeting Computer helps counter the Heavy Lasers'
inaccuracy, while two additional double heat sinks help dissipate the waste
heat produced, although pilots are urged not to Alpha Strike. This is also the
least deployed configuration.
Configuration F features a flexible ATM-6 on the left torso, capable of firing
missiles which have increasing warhead payloads as the range becomes shorter.
This is supported by three ER Medium Lasers, and a Micro Pulse Laser.
Battle History:
Several Chihuahuas were deployed by Clan Wolf-in-Exile forces during Operation
Audacity (i.e. the Archer's Avengers-led counterattack against the Jade Falcon
in 3064).
Deployment:
As a totem 'mech, the Chihuahua would see widespread deployment amongst the
Clan Wolf-in-Exile touman. Besides the Exiled Wolves, the Kell Hounds are also
sighted deploying a few Chihuahuas in their ranks as well.
