First off hello and hope all are doing well. I've been gone for years without communication or visitation. Apologize for that. My job in law enforcement has been interesting and convoluted to say the least. Any way I'm interested in creating two companies in Battletech. One that would manufacture ground units(BattleMech, tanks, etc.) from around 3060 and later, and one that would manufacture aerospace units(aerospace fighters, drop ships, and or warships etc.) starting around 3101 and later. Two areas, or nations, I've been particularly interested in placing these "companies" in are the Fronc Reaches and the Raven Alliance. Would be interested in some ideas to make that actually be feasible, and realistic as possible, in regards to game mechanics, economics, etc.,. Any 'useful' ideas from all would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid I'm mostly a 3025 player, yes I'm weird! However, a quick read over the notes on Sarna makes it apparent that the Fronc Reaches would be more likely to build vehicles and perhaps some mechs, while the Raven Alliance would be likely to spawn either or both of the companies you are looking to make.  Now, the story behind the company and the resources it taps into will be the interesting part.  I can see a wealthy former Taurian, disgusted with what he sees as mistakes in the Concordant's treatment of its new colonies, funding the creation of a factory on one of the worlds to build military resources.  An unusually aggressive businessman in the Outworld's Alliance, long stifled by pacifism, might manage to make friends with Snow Raven scientist and even warriors and expand his efforts in opening a production facility around one of the those worlds.  The start of each company, what it begins manufacturing and the new products it takes on as it expands over the years, changes in policy and intent of leaders, these will make the narrative that ties the company into it's parent regions history.  I'm sure if you need help or suggestions on units, timelines, etc. many of us here would be glad to help!  So name your companies, think up the founders or what you want them to be, and we'll help you flesh things out so you can incorporate them into your world's stories.

It all depends if you want to go the quick way? the capitalistic way? the scavenger way?
