Overview: First created by Clan Steel Viper in 2863, the Shogun IIC was primarily an upgrade of the Star League-era Shogun battlemech. The design was commissioned by Khan Sanra Mercer in order to help invigorate her Clan's touman, as well as help jump-start her Clan's fortunes. While eventually relegated to second-line use due to the rise of the Omnimech, the Shogun IIC would prove its worth as a reliable 'mech, even more so than the laughable Phoenix Hawk IIC. Capabilities: Compared to the original, the Shogun IIC is clearly an improvement due to the use of Clan-tech, while still retaining the same 85-ton mass. Clan Steel Viper designed the 'mech with an Endo-Steel Chassis, while 13.5 tons of Type 2 Ferro-Fibrous armor provide maximum protection. In terms of armament, each arm has a "Type XV" LRM-15 launcher, complemented by a Series 7K ER Large Laser in the center torso, as its main long-range weapons. Backing up these weapons are a "Pattern J6" Streak SRM-6 launcher on each side torso, as well as two Lambda Series Medium Pulse Lasers; one is mounted in the right side torso, while the other is head-mounted. Each LRM has its own two-ton ammo bin, while each SRM was supplied with a ton of ammo to draw from. To help keep waste heat under control, the Shogun IIC was fitted with 13 double heat sinks. In terms of mobility, the Shogun IIC is powered by a Consolidated 340-rated Standard Fusion Engine, allowing the 'mech to reach a top speed of 64.8 km/h; at the same time, like the original, the Shogun IIC has three jump jets for added mobility. Deployment: Primarily deployed by Clan Steel Viper, the Shogun IIC started out as a front-line design, before eventually being relegated to second-line use. Production was eventually slowed, but not stopped completely. After Clan Steel Viper was ejected from the Inner Sphere, Khan Perigard Zalman initially planned on increasing production of the Shogun IIC in order to equip the newly-raised second-line formations, which were primarily consisted of freebirths; that plan was set aside in favor of the creation of the Scylla.

Wouldn't it be better (as in "pack more things") to have a 3/5/3 movement?

Wouldn't fit the Viper's schtick of making everything fast with standard engines, like on the Crossbow. Also 4/6 can hit a slightly better THM flat-out, so why not? That extra +1 walking can be real nice.
I know you were trying to match the pic with the placement of the lasers, but I wish the MPLs were in the arms.
